ARM Holdings (LON:ARM) up 5.5%. Apple, which ARM makes parts for, is to release the iPhone 6 and 6S today and is expecting recording opening weekend sales, which would have to beat 10mln.

Johnson Matthey (LON:JMAT) up 4.8%. The company has been caught in the crosshairs of the Volkswagen scandal, but the catalytic converter maker has rebounded as it makes the emission reducing part for both petrol and diesel cars.

Unilever (LON:ULVR) up 4%. The company was boosted by an upgrade from Berenberg to ‘buy’ from ‘hold’ with a target price of a whopping 3,050p (shares are currently at 2,636p).

RISERS

Jiasen International Holdings (LON:JSI) up 69.5%. Profits slipped but sales rose in the first half as the door maker said it won five new contracts worth more than RMB20mln in the first half, with one worth more than RMB100mln.

Alba Minerals (LON:ALBA) up 13.3%. Alba Minerals plans to take its stake in the Horse Hill project, known as the Gatwick gusher, to 20% from 10% with a 5% farm-in option for 5% of the Brockham oil field.

CVS Group (LON:CVSG) up 8%. Vet group CVS saw sales rise 17% last year to £167.3mln with pre-tax profits almost 35% higher at £8.5mln.

President Energy (LON:PPC) up 4.6%. The company revealed a significant increase in oil reserves at the Puesto Guardian oil field in Argentina.

FALLERS

Volga Gas (LON:VGAS) down 23.3%. The company has been hit by the drop in oil prices and the devaluation of the ruble. Russian oil market disruptions also hit, meaning the firm made a pre-tax loss of US$1.6mln from a profit of US$8mln the year before.
