Further targets for exploration have been identified at Canada-focused Landore Resources' (LON:LND) flagship project following an extensive review of all geophysical work done at the site.
The property in Ontario is prospective for, among other things, nickel, copper, platinum group elements (PGEs) and gold and the review incorporated the 2-dimensional (2D) and 3-dimensional (3D) datasets, which were integrated along with geological and drilling data.
Exploration there has already identified a resource of around 33,000 tonnes at what's called the B4-7 area, 22,000 tonnes at the mainly nickel VW zone, and a 20,000 tonne 'exploration target' west of B4-7.
Higher priority targets identified from this review included a large negative magnetic anomaly next to significant structure in the western portion of the site and an area to the southwest of the B4-7 deposit
"There is an enormous amount of high quality geophysical data on the property and the 3D integration with geology and drill results has confirmed the geophysical response of the known mineralisation and has helped prioritize the best remaining targets," the mining group said in today's statement.
These review results will now be included into the "mineral potential" investigation, currently being finalised.
As part of this investigation, a re-assessment will be conducted of the Alpha Zone and Exploration Target for inclusion into the B4-7 resource, it added.
