RISERS

Vipera (LON:VIP) up 8.7%. For the half year to end-June the company posted a pretax loss of €525,376, widened slightly from €320,977 a year before, but said it was optimistic for full year results due to an uptick in growth at the start of the second half.

Premier African Minerals (LON:PREM) up 3.6%.The tungsten miner has achieved steady state production at its RHA miner in Zimbabwe. Throughput was 25% higher than initial design expectations, with 20 tonnes per hour being processed.

ARM Holdings (LON:ARM) up 3.4%. The chipmaker said its third quarter trading and operating costs are broadly in line with guidance. Earlier this week, major customer Apple said initial sales of its newly introduced iPhone 6S are likely to beat the record set last year.

FALLERS

Northacre (LON:NTA) down 5%. The company swung to a loss of £351,000 in the first half of 2015 from a small profit the year before as revenue fell and costs rose.

Kingfisher (LON:KGF) down 2.7%. The DIY chain reported higher half-year sales but lower profits and said it was on track to close about 60 stores.

Premier Oil (LON:PMO) down 1.3%. Exane BNP Paribas slashed its target price on the shares by almost half to 98p from 184p.

Global Market Group (LON:GMC) up 20%. Its subsidiary, Global Markets Group Guangzhou is to raise RMB53.5mln (£5.4mln) through a subscription of 1.3mln new shares at RMB40.9p per share.

blur Group (LON:BLUR) up 16.7%. The Exeter-based enterprise services platform and marketplace, has appointed business mentor Robert Wirszycz as a non-executive director.

Sareum Holdings (LON:SAR) up 6.7%. The specialist drug-maker has been given a patent in the US and Europe for its Aurora+FLT3 inhibitors.

FALLERS

CentralNic (LON:CNIC) down 11.5%. The firm fell despite more than doubling profits in the first half of 2015 and confirming it was in line with management expectations as it noted is "mindful of the challenges in sustaining" its growth strategy.

Eden Research (LON:EDEN) down 11.2%. The company was lower despite narrowing losses as it continues to work towards approval for its 3AEY fungicide product.

Connemara Mining (LON:CON) down 7.7%. Again, losses narrowed in the first half of the year as the company focuses on low cost exploration at the Inishowen Licences, in Ireland.

Teathers Financial (LON:TEA) up 25.7%. Its technology platform will be used to power a crowd equity app being launched by Shard Capital Partners. It is Teathers’ first commercial agreement and will be free to download on iTunes, Google Play and Android.

Mosman Oil & Gas (LON:MSMN) up 22.9%.The company has moved STEP closer to acquisition with a royalty agreement worth NZ$4mln. The company recently agreed to acquire STEP - the South Taranaki Energy Project - for NZ$10mln.

Central Rand Gold (LON:CZA) up 8.5%. The company significantly narrowed pre-tax losses in its first half, down to US$1.2mln from US$15.3mln, after slashing costs. It added that talks are “progressing” on the sale of its Dutch subsidiary.

FALLERS

Hydrogen Group (LON:HYDG) down 25.5%. The tough oil & gas market hit the company, which reported widening pre-tax losses of £1.9mln from £1.1mln in its interim results. It has also scrapped its dividend. Cost-cutting measures are expected to take effect in the second half, the company said.

Coal of Africa (LON:CZA) down 10.4%. Shareholders agreed to issue 183mln new shares at 5.15p per share as part of the loan and subscription agreement with Yishun Brightrise Investment PTE. It will raise around £9.4mln.

North River Resources (LON:NRRP) down 9.7%. The firm has embarked on the first of two stages of fundraising for the construction of its Namib lead-zinc project in Nambia. It is to raise US$2.8mln through a placing and open offer.
