RISERS

Horizonte Minerals (LON:HZM) up 6.7%. The miner has expanded its land holdings in the area surrounding its Araguaia development. The latest concession award is 1,610 hectares adjacent to Glencore’s Vale dos Sonhos and Serra do Tapa nickel laterite deposits.

Active Energy (LON:AEG) up 4.5%. The timber and forestry group, is teaming up with a US firm to commercialise what it describes a “revolutionary” new manufacturing process that allows biomass to be burned in unconverted coal-fired power stations.

AstraZeneca (LON:AZN) up 0.6%. The drugs giant got a shot in arm from broker heavyweight Deutsche Bank today, which upgraded the shares to 'buy' from 'hold'.

FALLERS

Globo (LON:GBO) down 14%. The mobile service company is working towards a fundraising via a high bond yield which it hopes will conclude shortly.

Regency Mines (LON:RGM) down 10%. Shareholder Yorkville Advisors sold 22mln shares in the company today, just shy of 1% of the total issued shares.

Kaz Minerals (LON:KAZ) down 6.2%. More disappointing data in China showed the country’s factory output and fixed-asset investment were both weaker-than-expected last month.

RISERS

Water Intelligence (LON:WATR) up 16.3%. The water leak specialist reported sales rose 25% to US$4.4mln in its half-year results, while pre-tax profit hiked almost 50% to US$910,000 in the period.

Trading Emissions (LON:TRE) up 14.5%. An arbitration tribunal has found in its favour and dismissed two claims against the firm worth around €6mln.

Trinity Mirror (LON:TNI) up 6.5%. It confirmed it was in talks with Daily Mail & General Trust (LON:DMGT) to acquires its 38.7% stake in Local World, which owns regional papers including Leicester Mercury and Cambridge News.

FALLERS

Trinity Exploration & Production (LON:TRIN) down 14%. The company agreed an extension to the repayment of its outstanding US$13mln debt with its lender until September 25.

MoneySwap (LON:SWAP) down 10%. The company has partnered Sage Pay part of Sage Group (LON:SGE). Meanwhile, MoneySwap said Ton Yuan Enterprise is now owned by Sheng-Yuan Lin, giving it a beneficial interest of 17.21% in MoneySwap.

Glencore (LON:GLEN) down 3.4%. The miner, which owns 74% of Katanga Mining, said the company has decided to suspend copper and cobalt mining at its Katanga mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo for at least 18 months.

Motive Television (LON:MTV) up 34%. The app maker said it is to make its TabletTV available on the new Apple TV platform. Motive will become one of the earliest developers for the Apple TV platform.

Croma Security Solutions Group (LON:CSSG) up 16.2%.The firm’s manned guarding division has won two new contracts worth a combined £2.5mln from a healthcare Institution and a major London-based property group.

DekelOil (LON:DKL) up 12.5%. Record production and sales of palm oil helped the Ivory Coast-based company almost treble interim revenues and come close to break even.

Weatherly International (LON:WTI) up 10.7%. The miner has upgraded its production forecast for the Tschudi copper mine in Namibia from 1,000 tonnes per month to 1,150 tonnes.

FALLERS

HaiKe Chemical Group (LON:HAIK) down 26.9%. The group’s first half was as expected but due to the slowdown in China over recent months, the firm is unlikely to make a profit for the full-year.

Aga Rangemaster (LON:AGA) down 12%. Reports over the weekend suggest Whirlpool has pulled out of a bidding war with Middleby for the company as shareholders approved a US$201mln takeover last week.
