Max Petroleum (LON:MXP) up 6.2%. The company said work is ongoing on satisfying the conditions over a USD13.8mln equity subscription by AGR Energy.
Regus (LON:RGU) up 2.7%. Reports suggest it may be the subject of bid interest from private equity suitors. Mark Dixon, chief executive, recently rejected a £3bn bid approach from a major private equity player according to the Daily Mail.
Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) up 1.2%, Anglo American (LON:AAL) up 1%. Miners rebounded having dropped yesterday on weaker Chinese data.
FALLERS
URU Metals (LON:URU) down 20%. The company issued RB Milestone 656,142 shares for services rendered, and retained the New York-based equity research and market intelligence firm as a financial communications adviser.
AO World (LON:AO.) down 6.8%. Concerns over the health of the electrical space in August this week have hurt the white goods seller. Argos owner Home Retail and Dixons both said the electronics good sector was weak in the month.
Ophir Energy (LON:OPHR) down 5%. The oil & gas firm was hit by a lowering oil price, as Brent crude lost 2.9% to US$47.5 while West Texas intermediate dropped 3.4% to US$44.4.

RISERS
Invista European Real Estate (LON:IERE) up 75%. The standstill letter for the on-going default with regard to a loan from Blackstone Real Estate ran out yesterday. It was extended until today with investors gambling the issue will be concluded today.
Mosman Oil & Gas (LON:MSMN) up 26.8%. The company said it knows of no other reason, other than the proposed acquisition of up to a 70% interest in New Zealand producing oil and gas assets which include the Rimu, Kauri and Manutahi fields from Origin Energy announced on September 3.
Great Western Mining (LON:GWMO) up 14.5%. The miner claimed the M5 prospect in Nevada has the potential to develop into "one or more very attractive drill targets.” Assay results from five rock samples and 17 soil samples suggest there is disseminated gold in the area.
Victoria (LON:VCP) up 11.6%. The company has bought UK carpet underlay manufacturer Interfloor Group for £65mln and has raised £30mln through the placing of 2.5mln shares at 1,230p per share.
FALLERS
Sula Iron & Gold (LON:SULA) down 14%. The miner identified another potential source of iron ore at its Ferensola project in northern Sierra Leone.
Drax Group (LON:DRX) down 3.3%. The electricty generator was downgraded to ‘Sell’ from ‘Neutral’ by Goldman Sachs, which cut its target price on the stock to 230p from 300p.

Rosslyn Data Technologies (LON:RDT) up 7.4%. The company has won a significant new contract with one of the world's largest mining companies worth around £400,000.
Botswana Diamonds (LON:BOD) up 7%. Drilling has started at its Orapa site and is scheduled to finish by the end of the month.
Mirada (LON:MIRA) up 5.8%. Telecoms giant Telefonica launched an upgraded user interface for its 4mln digital pay TV subscribers in Spain. Mirada worked with Telefonica to scope and design the new interface.
FALLERS
Redhall Group (LON:RHL) down 36%. The company is raising £5.8mln from the issue of 115mln shares at 5p a pop. It has also entered into a debt conversion with £3mln converted into 41mln shares.
Sweett Group (LON:CSG) down 7%. Results are expected to be in line with expectations but the SFO’s investigation into matters in the Middle East continues.
Steppe Cement (LON:STCM) down 6.8%. Losses narrowed despite lower prices and a devaluation of the Kazakh tenge, but revenue slipped despite an uptick in the amount of cement sold.
