Amur Minerals (LON:AMC) up 11.79%. The company pocketed 60% more than expected from its equity swap arrangement with Lanstead Capital.
Motif Bio (LON:MTFB) up 10.46%. Hopes of upbeat news from forthcoming investor events in the US propelled shares in antibiotics developer higher. It has signed Westwicke Partners as its investor relations adviser in the U.S.
Ashtead (LON:AHT) up 8.34%. The owner of A-Plant boosted first quarter profit by 23% thanks to strong demand in July. British construction industry figures showed a slight rise in business activity and jobs in the sector in August.
FALLERS
Vela Technologies (LON:VELA) down 9.3%. The company reported a £303,000 pre-tax loss in the first half of the year compared to £163,000 in the first half of the previous year.
Fishing Republic (LON:FISH) down 6%. The company increased sales and profit while adding that having raised £1.5mln from it placing in June, it intends to acquire more stores.
Tullow Oil (LON:TLW) down 5.17%. The oil firms on the FTSE 350 have been taking it turns to land near the bottom of the index and near the end of the day it was Tullow that found itself lowest of all of them. It dropped as the price of Brent Crude eased 1.2% to US$48.95 while West Texas Intermediate lost 2.2% to US$44.43.

Invista European Real Estate (LON:IERE) up 171%. The company comes to the end of its sixth standstill agreement with Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies tomorrow and investors are speculating there could be a resolution on the cards.
Jubliant Energy (LON:JUB) up 45.3%. The company secured a loan of US$2.34mln from Jubilant Energy Private Limited. The funds will be used for capital and operating expenditure, debt servicing and other corporate purposes.
XLMedia (LON:XLM) up 7.3%. The company said ExciteAd Digital Marketing (ADM) has performed strongly this year since XLMedia acquired it in September 2014. "We are very pleased with the strong performance of EDM, and look forward to the additional benefits of scale we will see through the acceleration of its integration,” chief executive Ory Weihs said.
FALLERS
Mwana Africa (LON:MWA) down 12.1%. The company is to raise just short of £3.7mln to shore up its balance sheet and expand its diamond operation.
Concurrent Technologies (LON:CNC) down 8.66%. The computer product provider said it doesn’t expect the second half of the year to be as strong as the first. It also launched its first single board computer.
Ophir Energy (LON:OPHR) down 4.68%. The oil firm dropped as the price of Brent Crude eased 0.8% to US$49.14 while West Texas Intermediate lost 1.7% to US$44.65.

SpaceandPeople (LON:SAL) up 11.69%. The shopping centre marketing specialist has won the right to promote brands across all Network Rail stations in the UK.
Bango (LON:BGO) up 8.8%. Its mobile payment program has been chosen to launch carrier billing through Google Play on Android devices in Africa. The platform allows users to make purchases by charging the cost to their phone bill, rather than using a credit or debit card.
Stratmin (LON:STGR) up 7.3%. The miner has agreed to sell a 25% stake in its Madagascar mine to specialist graphite investor Bass Metals for £2mln, valuing the Lohorano operation at £8mlnm, far above the company’s £5.4mln market capitalisation.
FALLERS
Halfords Group (LON:HFD) down 7.94%. Cycling sales, a big component of the business, dropped in the second quarter due to poor weather and discounts and as a result, will be below market expectations for the quarter.
Diploma (LON:DPLM) down 7.27%. The company said sales in the first nine months was held in check by the oil and gas industry and slow European industrial markets and said underlying operating margin will take a hit a facility closure and foreign exchange headwinds.
Premier Oil (LON:PMO) down 5.69%. The oil firm dropped as the price of Brent Crude eased 1.7% to US$48.6 while West Texas Intermediate lost 2.3% to US$44.3.
