Premier African Minerals (LON:PREM) revealed modifications to the processing plant at the RHA project have now been installed.
The company added that the anticipated operational benefits of the plant have also now been confirmed.
The plant’s throughput has now improved and further optimisation is continuing.
Chief executive George Roach explained that the work was necessary due to design deficiencies which were only understood once production increased.
He added that the RHA operation will be profitable as the plant reaches planned levels.
“The modified plant now accepts the design tonnage into the recovery circuits. Fine tuning and optimisation is continuing, both as we explore the upper tonnage limits of the plant in excess of 16 tons per hour and seek to achieve consistent material flow through the recovery circuits,” Roach said.
“We expect that as and when concentrate production reaches the design output of the plant, RHA will operate profitably."
