Risers & Fallers: Mosman, Vedanta, ReNeuron, Macromac, Lonmin, James Fisher and more...

Here are the main news-driven share price movements at 4pm.

Below are the main share price movements at 4pm.

RISERS

Mosman Oil & Gas (LON:MSMN) up 45.9%. The New Zealand and Australia focused oil explorer announced it is to buy assets which include the Rimu, Kauri and Manutahi fields from Origin Energy (ASX:ORG). The project will be bought for £4.2mln total, with Mosman gaining a 40% stake while a privately owned independent oil company acquires the balance.

Vedanta (LON:VED) up 10.98%. Oil stocks were back in favour today as Brent crude rose 2.1% to US$43.6 per barrel while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 2.5% to US$39.2 per barrel.

ReNeuron Group (LON:RENE) up 10.42%. The company confirmed it had raised £68.4mln in a share issue after it gained shareholder approval. The funds will be sufficient to pay for ReNeuron’s existing therapeutic programmes through to 2019. Lauded fund manager Neil Woodford is among the investors backing the company through the placing.

FALLERS

Macromac (LON:MACC) down 13%. Revenues are in line with expectations and indeed ahead of last year, but the company expects to make a net loss in the first half of 2015 compared to a profit over the same period in 2014.

Lonmin (LON:LMI) down 5.54%. Metal prices took a battering yesterday as fears the Chinese economy is slowing down meant investors were concerned that the demand for metal would slow. Platinum miner Lonmin was down again today as the metal continued to fall.

James Fisher (LON:FSJ) down 2.6%. The marine services provider’s revenue was down just a tad at £213.1mln but underlying profit before tax slipped to £20mln from £24.4mln the year before.

Below are the main share price movements at 9am.

RISERS

Regus (LON:RGU) up 7.55%. The office space provider hiked its dividend as it reported a big jump in first-half pre-tax profit partly due to gains from property sales and said it is trading in line with expectations.

Image Scan Holdings (LON:IGE) up 7.33%. The company has made the first customer deliveries of both its new ThreatScan®-LS1 portable X-ray detector panel and ThreatSpect, its new modular control and display software. The customer taking delivery of these four systems is a military organisation in the Middle East it said.

RSA Insurance (LON:RSA) up 5%. Swiss insurer Zurich Insurance (OTCMKTS:ZURVY) has made a long-awaited takeover approach for the company. It has a deal worth 550p per share in cash valuing RSA at £5.6bn.

FALLERS

InfraStrata (LON:INFA) down 29.4%. All the regulatory approvals and permits, including the site lease, are now in place for drilling the Woodburn Forest-1 well this coming winter, but Larne Oil and Gas, which acquired an interest in the project in 2014, have run into funding problems and will no longer be participating in the project. The company is in talks over the £2.8mln funding needed for the drilling.

Global Invacom Group (LON:GINV) down 18.5%. The company completed the acquisition of Skyware Global today. It issued 28mln new shares (9.9% of the total issued) and appointed Gregory Knox Jones as non-executive director.

Ovaca Gold (LON:OVG) down 11.15%. Pre-tax losses almost doubled as the company blamed “unstable geopolitical and market conditions, the decline in commodity prices and devaluation of the Russian national currency” for a lack of investment and joint venture opportunities.
