Solgold highlights potential of further targets at Cascabel

Solgold is building on drilling success at Cascabel with the identification of new targets

Recent mapping and sampling work at the Aguinaga prospect within the wider Cascabel project currently being worked up by Solgold (LON:SOLG) has given significant grounds for encouragement that the company is sitting on a cluster of copper-gold porphyrys.

Solgold has now identified a total of nine porphyry clusters on Cascabel, of which are deemed high priority.

The Aguinaga prospect lies 1.3km north of the key Alpala prospect which is currently being drilling, and which to date has delivered some impressive intersections across hundreds of metres of rock.

“Porphyries often tend to cluster, like at Chuquicamata in Chile, so seeing four or five of them within the broader Cascabel project area is very encouraging,” said Solgold executive director Nicholas Mather.
