RISERS

Stock Spirits (LON:STCK) up 3.2% at 188p. The Eastern European spirits group served up disappointing first half trading but announced an interim dividend of €0.0125.

Costain (LON:COST) up 5.92% at 367p. Construction group reported higher first-half revenue, operating profit, record orders and a 15% rise in its interim dividend.

Energy Technique (LON:ETQ) up 1.54% at 330p. The fan coil and commercial heating product group, which has put itself up for sale, said a number of potential buyers were interested. The company said it had high enquiry levels and a strong order book in the first quarter.

FALLERS

Namibian Resources (LON:NBR) down 30.7%. Production at the group's Sonnberg diamond mine remains suspended and is not expected to re-start. Meanwhile discussions over a potential copper project and diamond mine have been discontinued. On the plus side, losses narrowed.

Petroceltic International (LON:PCI) down 11.57%. The company has begun legal action in the Irish courts to identify a blogger in relation to allegations posted on an anonymous blogsite.

Independent Resources (LON:IRG) down 12.29%. Shares eased despite the firm saying a completed survey of the Ksar Hadada area, in Tunisia, suggests there are multiple drillable low risk prospects within the permit. The company will now integrate the findings with its existing database.

RISERS

Lonmin (LON:LMI) up 17.2%. The miner’s shares slumped yesterday but gained ground on firmer metals prices today.

Premier Oil (LON:PMO) up 10.45%. The group blamed write-offs for a dip into the red but said it was well-placed despite falling oil prices.

Rank Group (LON:RNK) up 2.4%. The company reported a growth in profit boosted by strong sales in its venues and digital businesses, adding that trading since the end of the year has been in line with expectations.

FALLERS

Regus (LON:RGU) down 6.6%. Investec downgraded it to ‘Hold’ from ‘Buy’ despite saying that it expects the office space provider's interim results to indicate continued strength in its underlying trading performance.

Fiske (LON:FKE) down 5.5%. The stockbroker swung to a loss in its interim results and said it will scrap its final dividend. “The past year has proved to be disappointing in revenue terms and at the same time we have incurred material non-recurring expenditure,” chairman Clive Fiske Harrison said

Mondi (LON:MNDI) down 2.4%. The company was one of a number of firms that were trading ex-dividend today.

RISERS

KAZ Minerals (LON:KAZ) up 20.5%. The miner swung to a first half pre-tax profit despite the lower commodity prices thanks to a weakening of the Tenge compared to the US dollar. Last year, the company made a US$104mln loss in the first half but made a US$2mln profit this year.

Vast Resources (LON:VAST) up 11.9%. The company has commissioned the ball mill and carbon in leach plant for the Pickstone-Peerless Gold Mine in Zimbabwe. First gold production is being targeted for the end of the month.

Real Good Food (LON:RGD) up 3.89%. Shares rose as its executive chairman topped up his stake in the bakery and ingredients specialist. Pieter Totté bought 92,000 shares at 56.25p costing £50,000.

FALLERS

Sula Iron & Gold (LON:SULA) down 28.2%. The company has raised around £400,000 to fund an initial drilling programme at its Ferensola project in Sierra Leone.

Adamas Finance Asia (LON:ADAM) down 11.9%. The company received US$750,000 from Global Pharm as part of an overdue payment. The company was due to receive an initial payment of US$2.4mln a further US$9mln by the end of March and a final payment of US$13.6mln at the end of April, an aggregate of US$25mln. The initial payment was received, but the second and third payments were not. The company has, instead, received four payments of US$750,000.

Trinity Exploration & Production (LON:TRIN) down 8.1%. The company said it is in talks with a number of potential suitors, following the strategic review it launched back in April, as it said the low oil price environment has continued to put it under pressure.
