Telecoms and pay-TV firm BT (LON:BT.A) has signed up England and Tottenham Hotspur footballer Harry Kane to be an ambassador for the brand.
Kane will feature in adverts for the new BT Sport channels and will also appear as a guest on football shows on the channels.
Kane, who was voted Young Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers Association last year, said: “I am delighted to become a BT Ambassador and honoured to join the likes of Gareth Bale in the line-up.”
Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “The Spurs fans relate to him as one of their own and we believe he will be an excellent ambassador for BT and that viewers will like his grounded and humble character.”
BT Sport recently launched a new channel, BT Sport Europe, and will show exclusively live matches from the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
