American Rare Earths appoints processing expert to advance Halleck Creek feasibility

American Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:ARR, OTCQX:ARRNF) has appointed minerals processing specialist Dr Sanja Miskovic as chief technical advisor to support feasibility work and process optimisation at its Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming.

Effective immediately, Dr Miskovic will guide flowsheet development, beneficiation, hydrometallurgical recovery and scale-up activities aimed at supporting production of separated rare earth oxides in Wyoming.

Her appointment strengthens the company’s technical team as it advances plans for a domestic US mine-to-magnet supply chain.

Processing expertise

Dr Miskovic has more than 20 years of experience across minerals processing, beneficiation, extraction and critical materials recovery.

Her expertise spans mineral concentration, chemical extraction, purification, refining and process scale-up, with projects progressing from laboratory testing through pilot-scale validation and industrial implementation.

She holds a PhD in Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech and is chief technology officer of Novex, American Rare Earths’ downstream metallisation technology partner.

American Rare Earths chief executive officer Mark Wall said: “Sanja brings the technical depth and operating instinct we need as we move Halleck Creek through feasibility and toward construction.

“Her focus on recovery and process optimization directly supports our objective of producing separated rare earth oxides in Wyoming and feeding those oxides into a domestic metallization and magnet supply chain.”

Mine-to-magnet strategy

American Rare Earths plans to develop on-site mineral processing and separation facilities at Halleck Creek, with separated rare earth oxides intended to feed US-based metallisation, alloying and permanent magnet production.

Dr Miskovic said the opportunity to influence process design during feasibility was significant.

“I look forward to working with the American Rare Earths team to advance a flowsheet that delivers separated rare earth oxides efficiently and reliably, and that supports the broader ambition of a fully integrated U.S. mine-to-magnet supply chain.”
