Dundas Minerals Ltd (ASX:DUN) has consolidated a prospective gold corridor north of Kalgoorlie through the acquisition of nine licences, adding the high-grade Gemini prospect to its expanding Kalgoorlie Gold Project ahead of a new drilling campaign scheduled to begin later this month.
The licences extend Dundas’ position along the Gemini-Capricorn-Aquarius-Rockland trend, around 40-50 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, creating a largely continuous holding along an interpreted north-south mineralised corridor.
Historical drilling at Gemini returned standout intersections including 2 metres at 26.68 g/t gold from 35 metres, including 1 metre at 39.71 g/t, as well as 2 metres at 8.66 g/t from 38 metres and 3 metres at 4.19 g/t from 53 metres. The mineralisation has not been tested along strike and is interpreted to remain open.
Consolidates gold corridor
The acquisition comprises three Gemini prospecting licences purchased outright from a private vendor for $70,000, funded from existing cash reserves, together with six Windanya licences transferred under Dundas’ existing option agreement.
Gemini forms part of an approximately 3-kilometre structural corridor extending south through Capricorn and Aquarius to Rockland, where recent drilling has also returned gold mineralisation. However, continuity between the individual prospects has not yet been established by drilling.
At Rockland, previously reported results include 3 metres at 6.9 g/t gold from 138 metres, 2 metres at 3.3 g/t from 59 metres and 6 metres at 1.0 g/t from 69 metres.
Aquarius has also delivered high-grade historical results, including 3 metres at 10.2 g/t gold from 109 metres, containing 1 metre at 29.6 g/t, while drilling at the southern end of Capricorn returned 3 metres at 9.14 g/t from 114 metres.
“Major step forward”
Managing director Jonathan Downes said the acquisition brought the company’s prospects together along a highly mineralised Eastern Goldfields structure.
“This acquisition is a major step forward for Dundas. These nine licences stitch our holdings into a single, continuous position along a prolifically mineralised Eastern Goldfields’ structure, running from Rockland through Capricorn and Aquarius to Gemini in the north.”
Downes said the historical Gemini results warranted follow-up drilling and highlighted the combination of established targets, tenure and approved exploration programs.
“With the Capricorn Mining Lease granted, Programmes of Work approved and a drilling contractor engaged, we now hold the targets, the tenure and the opportunity. It is hard to imagine a better set-up for the drilling ahead.”
What’s next
Dundas has secured Programme of Work approvals for drilling at Capricorn, Rockland and the ground between the two prospects, while a separate approval is in place for drilling at the open-ended Baden-Powell gold deposit.
A drilling contractor has been engaged, with drilling scheduled to start in late September 2026. The campaign will include follow-up drilling at Rockland and extensional and infill drilling at Capricorn and Baden-Powell.
At Gemini, Dundas plans to reinterpret the historical drilling alongside soil geochemistry and geophysical datasets before designing follow-up drilling. Proposed work would test the interpreted southerly plunge of the high-grade mineralisation, step out beyond the existing roughly 45-metre RC drilling cluster and test bedrock beneath shallow historical drilling.
