Tocvan expands gold-silver targets at Gran Pilar project in Mexico

CSE listed exploration company Tocvan Ventures (CSE: TOC) has expanded gold-silver mineralization at its Gran Pilar project in Sonora, Mexico, identifying a new zone about four kilometres north of the Main Zone.

Rock samples from the new Central Corridor zone returned values of up to 2.4 grams of gold per tonne and 67 grams of silver per tonne, with copper reaching 1.6%.

The company said the mineralized trend now extends for more than 1,000 metres along the same structural orientation as the Main Zone.

Mineralization is hosted in andesitic volcanic rocks with quartz veining, silicification, hematite alteration and localized brecciation, features also seen at the Main Zone and Mezquite target.

Samples collected near historic mine workings returned the highest copper values in tourmaline breccia, alongside elevated gold and silver, pointing to potential polymetallic mineralization.

Tocvan has also expanded the surface footprint of the Bojorquez target, about three kilometres east of the Main Zone, with additional sampling confirming gold-silver mineralization and associated pathfinder elements.

The company said the Central Corridor remains open along strike and untested at depth, while mapping and sampling continue across the trend.

Soil grids are also being completed as Tocvan assesses multiple mineralized zones across the 100%-owned Gran Pilar property.
