REV Exploration , the Canadian mineral exploration company, has identified several high-priority drilling targets at its West Butte Helium Project in Montana.
The company, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, said interpretation of a recently completed 3D seismic survey had significantly upgraded the project's drilling readiness.
The survey identified multiple structural closures and prospective trapping configurations across the project area in Toole County.
Targets include stacked Devonian Beaverhill Lake reservoir sections and deeper Basal Sandstone intervals sitting directly above the Precambrian basement complex.
Jordan Potts, chief executive of REV, said the seismic data provided strong support for a potential new helium discovery at West Butte amid tight helium supply.
REV said individual drilling locations could test multiple prospective reservoir intervals within a single wellbore, citing comparable reservoirs elsewhere in the Northern Great Plains Helium Fairway, extending from southern Alberta into northern Montana.
The company cautioned that results from nearby and regional properties do not guarantee similar outcomes at West Butte.
