RISERS
African Potash (LON:AFPO) up 20%. The rise caps off an excellent week for the company which signed a deal with Comesa, a free trade union of twenty African countries, to provide 500,000 tonnes of fertiliser over three years.
Vedanta (LON:VED) up 7.3%. Indian multi-commodity miner was higher as precious metal prices rose today across the board.
Superglass (LON:SPGH) up 12%. Superglass said it is optimistic that growing construction markets, new higher-value products, production efficiencies and tighter overall capacity will boost margins over the coming year.
FALLERS
ECR Minerals (LON:ECR) down 6.1%. Shares slipped back a little after climbing 11.8% yesterday on the news that it issued 111.5mln shares at 0.0575p a pop to convert an outstanding US$100,000 to YA Global Master. It leaves a total of US$835,712 to pay.
Avocet Mining (LON:AVM) down 5.2%. The company drew down funds under the Elliott loan facility this week. The loan was for up to US$2.4mln and shares have been volatile all week. Despite today’s fall it still ends the week 1.6% higher.

RISERS
Stratex (LON:STI) up 7.2%. A private-listed investment company Forest Nominees took a 4% stake in the company. Stratex also said this week that it expects to complete construction of the Altintepe gold mine in Turkey imminently with the first gold pour on track for the end of next month.
Wizz Air (LON:WIZZ) up 5.2%. JP Morgan raised its target price on the Central and Eastern Europe-focused budget carrier and kept its ‘overweight’ rating in place.
Glencore (LON:GLEN) up 3.1%. Miners in general were higher after plunging yesterday on lower commodity prices.
FALLERS
UK Mail Group (LON:UKM) down 9.77%. The parcels and letters group slashed guidance after it said its move to a new fully automated facility in Coventry had "caused a greater level of customer churn and loss of volume than anticipated".
ITV (LON:ITV) down 3.1%. The broadcaster struggled after US media companies took a tumble overnight. It has been expanding its international base with acquisitions of US production studios.
Travis Perkins (LON:TPK) down 1.7%. The builder's merchant was downgraded by broker Panmure Gordon to ‘sell’ from ‘buy’.

RISERS
AorTech (LON:AOR) up 33.3%. Revenues doubled to US$844,000 at the medical device provider in the year to March as losses more than halved to US$326,000.
Getech (LON:GTC) up 9.7%. In a trading update, the company said it will report figures for the year to July that show “a very significant year on year improvement.” It said pre-tax profits are expected to double to £2mln with a 29% rise in income.
Premier Oil (LON:PMO) up 5.4%. WTI crude nudged higher to nearer US$45 a barrel and brent crude nudged higher to US$50. Shares were on the way higher after oil companies took a hammering yesterday.
FALLERS
Golden Saint Resources (LON:GSR) down 12.5%. The company said harsh weather conditions and the impact of Ebola means “Sierra Leone continues to be a challenging environment in which to operate” but added that it is still recovering good quality diamonds. Cyril D'Silva has also become full-time CEO and David McDonald executive chairman after a boardroom shuffle.
Webis (LON:WEB) down 12%. Its largest shareholder Burnbrae lowered its share in the company by around 5%.
William Hill (LON:WMH) down 5.2%. The bookie blamed new government legislation and write-downs as it saw pre-tax profit drop some 35% to just £78.7mln (£121mln) and operating profit, fall 12% to £155mln.
