Shares in Nexteq PLC (LSE:NXQ), the AIM-listed technology solutions provider, rose 11.11% to 50 pence after Densitron, the group's display and human machine interface brand, secured a new order from an automotive electronics supplier.
The contract covers customised display solutions for a new electric delivery vehicle application.
Production is expected to begin in the second half of the 2026 financial year, with volumes anticipated to increase materially over the following three years as the customer expands its product rollout.
Nexteq said the win diversifies its end-market exposure and expands its presence in the automotive sector.
Duncan Faithfull, chief executive of Nexteq, said the order demonstrated Densitron's ability to deliver tailored engineering solutions while allowing customers to outsource technology development and production.
He said the deal provided a platform for future revenue growth in the automotive and transportation sector.
Nexteq shares were quoted at 50 pence, up from a previous close of 45 pence.
