EnWave Corp (TSX-V:ENW, OTC:NWVCF, FRA:E4U) announced on Tuesday that Loovies, a Mexico-based food technology company and previously unnamed commercial royalty-bearing licensee, has launched Loovies Styx, a snack product made from whole fruits and vegetables using EnWave’s Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV) technology.
Loovies entered into a commercial royalty-bearing license with EnWave on November 10, 2025, and purchased a 10kW REV machine from the company to begin initial commercial production. Loovies is currently completing construction of its production facility, with the build-out expected to be finished in late 2026.
The facility is designed to accommodate several additional 10kW REV units as well as a larger-scale REV production line as the company expands.
According to Loovies, a serving of Loovies Styx provides the nutritional equivalent of 150 grams of fresh vegetables while containing 75 calories, with no additives or flour. The company described the product as a snack made without refined flour, added oil or traditional heat processing.
“For sixty years, the snack industry operated on three unavoidable inputs: refined flour, added oil, and heat. Loovies Styx is the first industrial snack produced without any of them, made possible by EnWave’s REV vacuum-microwave technology,” Héctor M. Sánchez, founder and CEO of Loovies, said in a statement.
“Classified as NOVA 1 and recognized as one of the healthiest mass-produced snacks in the world by independent European scientific studies, Loovies Styx does not just improve the category. It opens a new one.”
EnWave’s REV technology uses controlled temperatures and vacuum-microwave processing to rapidly dehydrate food products. The company says the process can be used to produce nutrient-rich food products while reducing processing time.
EnWave currently has 52 licenses across 24 countries covering products including meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables, dairy, confectionery, baked goods and cannabis products.
Loovies is focused on developing snack products made from whole fruits and vegetables and is using REV technology as part of its production process.
