Tivan clears final approvals for maiden drilling at Walshy’s Wall

Tivan Ltd (ASX:TVN) has secured the final regulatory and heritage approvals needed to begin maiden drilling at Walshy’s Wall, a manganese-barite gossan within its Sandover Fluorite Project in the Northern Territory, with Stage One drilling targeted to start in October.

The planned reverse circulation (RC) program will test a more than 1-kilometre-long gossan where previous rock-chip sampling returned grades of up to 44.8% manganese, alongside elevated copper, beryllium and tungsten. Ultra-high-grade fluorite of up to 98.4% CaF2 was also identified in the same outcrop.

Approvals clear path for drilling

Tivan received final regulatory approval from the Northern Territory Department of Lands, Planning and Environment through a variation to the existing environmental licence covering the Sandover Fluorite Project.

The Central Land Council also issued a variation to the existing Sacred Site Clearance Certificate following a cultural heritage clearance process, documenting consent from relevant Traditional Owners and Native Title Holders for the proposed works.

The approvals allow the Walshy’s Wall program to proceed under the project’s existing environmental and heritage framework.

Drilling to test polymetallic potential

Tivan is planning a two-stage program of up to 31 RC holes along the strike of Walshy’s Wall.

Stage One will comprise nine priority holes targeting areas with the strongest surface geochemical anomalism. The drilling is designed to determine whether the mineralisation seen at surface continues at depth and to provide geological information to guide later work.

A further 22 holes are planned under Stage Two, subject to results from the initial program, with the broader drilling aimed at testing the scale, geometry and continuity of the target.

The company believes the combination of manganese, barite, copper, beryllium and tungsten could point to a broader hydrothermal system, while the presence of copper may represent the oxidised surface expression of sulphide mineralisation at depth.

Walshy’s Wall takes shape as exploration target

Walshy’s Wall was discovered by Tivan geologists in October 2025 during field reconnaissance over a quartz vein previously mapped as barren.

Subsequent sampling traced the gossan for more than 1 kilometre, with assays returning up to 44.8% manganese. Copper grades reached 0.5%, while beryllium returned up to 50 parts per million and tungsten up to 0.12%.

The drill plan shown in the company’s announcement maps the nine Stage One priority holes and the broader Stage Two program along the interpreted trend of the gossan.

Executive chairman Grant Wilson said the approvals would allow the company’s geology team to complete the maiden program before the onset of the Northern Territory summer heat.

About Tivan

Tivan is advancing exploration and development projects in Australia, including the Sandover Fluorite Project in the Northern Territory.

At Walshy’s Wall, the immediate focus is on testing whether the strong surface geochemistry identified to date reflects a larger mineralised system at depth, with the first nine RC holes expected to provide the initial subsurface test of the target.
