Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd (TSX-V:GMG, OTCQX:GMGMF) has launched G FLUID, a patent-pending graphene water-based additive designed for use in data centre and industrial cooling circuits to increase heat transfer and reduce microbial and bacterial growth.
The initial G FLUID product is being offered in a 1-litre package used as a 1:100 concentrate, with one litre added to 100 litres of coolant. GMG cited the global cooling water treatment chemicals market at approximately US$15 billion in 2026, with the market expected to reach US$27.2 billion by 2035, representing a 6.1% compound annual growth rate.
GMG reported that preliminary internal testing showed an approximately 20% increase in heat transfer when G FLUID was added to demineralized water at a 1% dosage. At that concentration, graphene represents 0.01% by weight of the final solution.
The company also reported that G FLUID produced up to an 87% antimicrobial result in testing conducted by an independent third-party laboratory under the EN 1276 testing standard.
“G FLUID lets a data centre, industrial plant or building operator improve the heat transfer of the water or coolant already running through their cooling loop, at a simple 1% dose rate,” GMG’s managing director and CEO Craig Nicol said in a statement.
“Independent laboratory testing to the EN 1276 standard also shows a meaningful reduction in microbial growth in that same water, which matters for anyone managing corrosion, fouling and maintenance costs in a chiller system.”
GMG noted that it is initially targeting data centres, while the same dosage can also be used in industrial process chillers and building chiller systems.
GMG chairman and director Jack Perkowski highlighted that G FLUID is the company’s fourth energy-saving product alongside THERMAL-XR and G LUBRICANT.
“It's a strong example of how our graphene production capability keeps opening up new, commercially relevant applications across very different industries,” Perkowski said.
Separately, GMG said that it has submitted an amended application to the US Environmental Protection Agency seeking approval to manufacture, in addition to sell, graphene and its THERMAL-XR, G LUBRICANT and G FLUID products in the U.S.
The company said that the application follows advice from the EPA to replace a Significant New Use Notice submitted in June 2026. GMG expects approval of the amendment by the end of September 2027 and noted that existing Consent Order conditions for THERMAL-XR sales in the US are not affected.
