Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTCQB:RLMLF, FRA:NC3) has confirmed a major extension to gold mineralisation at Golden Gate South within its 100%-owned Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, with the first three holes of its 2026 diamond drilling program all intersecting near-surface gold.
The standout result was 305.7 metres at 0.64 g/t gold from surface in hole HH-GG26-003C, extending mineralisation at least two kilometres south of Golden Gate North and supporting what the company describes as “discovery status” for Golden Gate South.
Resolution’s Golden Gate South within the Horse Heaven Project – Location of drill holes over interpreted mineralisation and alteration with three reported drill hole gold assays as histograms (red) and location of Cross section.
Broad gold mineralisation from surface
Hole HH-GG26-003C encountered gold mineralisation from surface to the base of the hole, with higher-grade intervals including 6.5 metres at 1.33 g/t gold from 62 metres and 17.25 metres at 1.19 g/t from 264.85 metres.
The other two holes also returned broad mineralised intervals. HH-GG26-002C intersected 32.6 metres at 0.49 g/t gold from surface and 87.87 metres at 0.52 g/t from 48.97 metres, including 37.42 metres at 0.72 g/t.
HH-GG26-001C returned 49.5 metres at 0.58 g/t gold from surface, including 24.64 metres at 0.78 g/t from 17.86 metres.
Resolution said the results provide further evidence that mineralisation may extend between Golden Gate South and Golden Gate North along the Golden Gate Fault Zone.
“Our exploration team is extremely encouraged by these three discovery holes at Golden Gate South, which provide additional support to our view that mineralisation extends continuously from Golden Gate South to Golden Gate North,” Resolution CEO of US Operations Craig Lindsay said.
“With 28 additional holes in process at the lab, RML expects to see an increased pace of drill results released to the market.”
Golden Gate emerging as larger mineralised system
Golden Gate forms part of Resolution’s Horse Heaven Antimony-Tungsten-Gold-Silver Project in Idaho and sits immediately adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ recently permitted Stibnite Gold Project.
Resolution’s 2026 Golden Gate program is designed to test the scale and extent of both gold and tungsten mineralisation, with up to 13,700 metres of diamond drilling across as many as 45 holes planned between Golden Gate South and Golden Gate North.
The latest drilling targeted the southern extension of the Golden Gate Shear Zone, with geological observations identifying widespread alteration, silicification and quartz-pyrite veining associated with the mineralised system.
The company's new drilling, when considered alongside soil sampling, geophysics and geological mapping, had confirmed the presence of gold mineralisation at Golden Gate South and materially expanded the known Golden Gate footprint.
Next steps
Resolution has now completed 33 diamond holes for around 9,700 metres at Golden Gate, with 28 additional holes logged and submitted for assay.
The drilling timeline has been extended to mid-September to allow the company to complete all planned holes, while subsequent drilling has targeted both gold and tungsten, including a significant tungsten-in-soil anomaly at Golden Gate South.
Results from the outstanding holes will be released progressively as assays become available.
