BJ's Wholesale Club (NYSE:BJ) shares moved over 4% higher on Friday after the warehouse retailer reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings and revenue above analyst expectations, while raising its full-year adjusted earnings guidance.
The company reported earnings per diluted share of $1.36 for the 13 weeks ended Aug. 1, up from $1.14 a year earlier and ahead of the $1.17 analyst consensus.
Modine Manufacturing (NYSE:MOD) shares rose more than 5% in pre-market trading Friday after Hunterbrook Media published a report suggesting the company's data center cooling opportunity could be significantly larger than its current public disclosures indicate.
Hunterbrook, whose affiliated investment firm holds a long position in Modine, said internal planning information found on GitHub points to nearly $23 billion in modeled demand from major data center customers.
Ross Stores Inc (NASDAQ:ROST) shares are set to open more than 8% higher Friday after the discount retailer reported stronger-than-expected second quarter fiscal 2026 results, supported by higher customer traffic, and raised its full-year earnings outlook.
For the quarter ended August 1, Ross Stores reported sales of $6.3 billion, up 13% from $5.5 billion a year earlier.
