Kainos Group PLC (LSE:KNOS), the UK-headquartered information technology provider, anticipates delivering annual revenue and adjusted profit before tax comfortably ahead of market expectations.
This upgraded financial guidance follows a period of robust operational momentum during the opening months of the current financial year, investors were told.
The company-compiled market consensus had previously projected total revenue of £509.3 million for the period. Current known sell-side analyst estimates for revenue sit within a range between £498 million and £514 million.
The wider market also expected an adjusted profit before tax figure of £77.1 million. Estimates for this adjusted profit metric previously ranged from £75 million to £84 million.
Continued strong trading across three core divisions drives this expected financial outperformance. Digital Services represents one of these main operating units and continues to demonstrate very strong growth.
Management secured several significant new client contracts for this division during the second half of the previous financial year. The business has successfully won further contract awards since the start of the current financial year.
Trading across the Workday Services and Workday Products divisions has also progressed well recently. Both Workday units recorded double-digit percentage revenue increases compared to the same period during the previous year.
Kainos previously generated double-digit percentage revenue growth across the entire group during the financial year ended 31 March 2026.
This past growth coincided with very strong sales activity and record levels of unfulfilled client orders.
A substantial multi-year contracted backlog continues to underpin management confidence in the ongoing financial outlook.
A robust pipeline of potential new business also supports this positive forward momentum. The broader macroeconomic environment remains highly volatile at present.
However, the technology provider operates within specific markets driven by clear structural trends. These structural dynamics leave the business well positioned to execute its strategic objectives.
