374Water Inc (NASDAQ:SCWO, FRA:8LL) said preliminary second-quarter revenue rose sharply from a year earlier, driven largely by revenue recognized following the completion of a Factory Acceptance Test for California's Orange County Sanitation District.
The company, which develops supercritical water oxidation technology for the destruction of organic waste including PFAS through its AirSCWO technology, said preliminary revenue exceeded $2.2 million for the quarter, up from $0.6 million a year earlier, with approximately $2 million of that tied to the OC San milestone.
Completion of the Factory Acceptance Test for the Orange County Sanitation District, known as OC San, activates the next phase of that project, positioning the company to recognize the remaining $1.1 million in revenue while receiving $2.6 million in remaining billings as operational milestones are completed.
374Water and OC San have planned for deployment of the company's commissioning team and system in October.
Preliminary first-half revenue totaled approximately $2.8 million, compared with $1.1 million a year earlier.
"The second quarter of 2026 has been about building towards long-term growth from a strong technical and operational foundation," said Danny Bogar, CEO of 374Water.
"Since I assumed the role of CEO earlier this year, our team has remained focused on alignment and execution.”
The company also highlighted an order for $4.8 million from Olathe, Kansas, and an AirSCWO mobile system deployed to St. Cloud, Minnesota, for a $600,000 pilot project now in its third phase.
374Water said it continues to expand its Waste Destruction Services facility in Orlando, Florida, which it described as its first recurring-revenue waste destruction hub. The Orlando facility now includes approximately 88,000 gallons of waste storage capacity.
During the quarter, 374Water announced a strategic relationship with Arcadis, an engineering and environmental consulting firm, aimed at accelerating commercial opportunities across federal and industrial markets.
"While there is still significant work ahead, I believe the progress we've made positions 374Water to capitalize on the growing demand for permanent destruction solutions," Bogar added. "The second half of 2024 will be about creating additional partnerships, expanding our facility and capacity in Orlando, and commercializing our AFFF waste destruction services."
374Water plans to release complete financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on August 14.
