Airbnb Inc (NASDAQ:ABNB, XETRA:6Z1) shares rose about 10% after Thursday’s closing bell after the alternative accommodation provider reported better-than-expected second quarter results and raised its full-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA margin guidance, citing continued strong travel demand.
Revenue increased 17% year over year to $3.6 billion in the quarter, while gross booking value (GBV) rose 16% to $27.2 billion.
Datadog Inc (NASDAQ:DDOG) shares tumbled more than 18% on Thursday even after the software company delivered what analysts called a high-quality quarter, as investors focused on decelerating bookings growth and softer-than-expected third-quarter guidance.
Datadog's revenue grew 35.6% year-over-year in the second quarter, ahead of the company's 29-31% guidance range and accelerating from 32% growth in the first quarter.
SpaceX Corp (NASDAQ:SPCX) shares rose about 2.5% on Thursday, despite the expiration of the first major lockup period that made more than 900 million shares held by insiders and other investors eligible to trade.
The release of up to 911.5 million restricted shares more than doubled SpaceX's public float, increasing it from roughly 639 million shares to about 1.55 billion.
Fiserv Inc (NYSE:FI) shares fell more than 3% on Thursday after the payments and financial technology company lowered its 2026 outlook, while second quarter adjusted earnings and revenue came in below Wall Street expectations.
Fiserv now expects full-year 2026 organic revenue to be between a 1% decline and flat, compared with its previous forecast for growth of 1% to 3%.
Kenvue Inc (NYSE:KVUE) shares fell about 2% on Thursday after the consumer health company reported second quarter results that narrowly missed Wall Street expectations, while margins declined from a year earlier.
The company reported adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.31, compared with the $0.32 consensus estimate.
Midnight Sun Mining Corp (TSX-V:MMA, OTCQB:MDNGF) announced that it has identified multiple new exploration targets outside the previously defined and drilled mineralized corridor at its Dumbwa copper deposit in Solwezi, Zambia, following an initial high-resolution ground magnetic survey.
The survey covered an area of approximately 2.7 kilometres by 2.5 kilometres in the northern portion of Dumbwa’s Central Mineralized Block. Data was collected along north-south survey lines spaced 100 metres apart, with east-west tie lines spaced at 250-metre intervals.
Western Digital Corp (NASDAQ:WDC) shares fell 11% Thursday after the data storage company reported fiscal fourth quarter results that beat Wall Street estimates, but its margin outlook fell short of the elevated expectations set by rival Seagate.
Western Digital expects fiscal first quarter 2027 non-GAAP gross margin of 55% to 56%, with a midpoint of 55.5%, compared with 54.4% in the fourth quarter. The outlook points to further sequential margin expansion, but the pace of improvement was viewed against particularly high expectations for the storage sector.
Sandisk (NASDAQ:SNDK) shares fell nearly 7% on Thursday after the data storage company issued fiscal first-quarter guidance that came in slightly below some elevated Wall Street expectations, overshadowing a quarterly earnings and revenue beat driven by demand from AI data centers.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, Sandisk expects revenue of $10.3 billion to $10.8 billion, compared with consensus expectations of about $10.8 billion and estimates as high as $11.16 billion. The company expects non-GAAP diluted earnings of $44 to $46 per share.
AppLovin Corp (NASDAQ:APP) shares plunged more than 24% in after-hours trading on Wednesday after the mobile advertising and marketing platform reported second quarter revenue below Wall Street expectations, despite posting strong year-over-year growth and earnings in line with estimates.
AppLovin reported revenue of $1.924 billion for the quarter ended June 30, up 53% from $1.259 billion a year earlier but below the $1.94 billion consensus estimate.
