Perpetual Resources appoints GreenMet to advance US government engagement for Nevada Scheelite

Perpetual Resources Ltd (ASX:PEC) has appointed Washington DC-based strategic advisory firm GreenMet Mineral Holdings to help position its Nevada ScheeliteTungsten Project within US government critical minerals, funding and supply chain initiatives.

GreenMet will support Perpetual’s engagement with federal and state agencies, policymakers, strategic investors and industry participants as the company advances the recently acquired project in Mineral County, Nevada.

GreenMet to assess funding and partnership opportunities

The engagement will include identifying applicable government grants, loans and financing programs, developing a stakeholder engagement strategy and introducing Perpetual to relevant government agencies and strategic partners.

GreenMet will also advise on how Nevada Scheelite could participate in US programs intended to strengthen domestic critical minerals supply chains.

The appointment is expected to increase the company’s visibility among government agencies, policymakers and downstream industry participants while supporting potential funding, financing and strategic partnership opportunities.

GreenMet is led by founder and chief executive Drew Horn, a former executive director of the White House National Space Council who has also held senior roles with the US departments of Energy and Defense and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Perpetual executive chair Julian Babarczy said GreenMet’s government and industry relationships would strengthen the company’s ability to engage with key stakeholders.

“The United States is placing increasing importance on developing secure domestic supplies of critical minerals, and we believe Nevada Scheelite is well positioned to participate in this evolving landscape,” he said.

Nevada Scheelite positioned as potential domestic tungsten source

Nevada Scheelite is a brownfields tungsten project with historical mining, drilling and processing infrastructure.

Perpetual is seeking to establish the asset as a potential future domestic source of tungsten for the United States, where the mineral is considered important for defence, aerospace, advanced manufacturing and industrial applications.

GreenMet will immediately begin developing a strategic engagement roadmap, assessing government funding programs, identifying key stakeholders and assisting Perpetual with project positioning.

The company has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Nevada Scheelite as part of its broader critical minerals strategy.
