Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META, XETRA:FB2A, SIX:FB) missed second-quarter profit estimates on Wednesday, weighed down by a jump in costs including legal charges, even as revenue grew faster than expected.

The social media giant reported earnings per share of $6.18, down 13% year-over-year and well below the $7.22 analysts had expected. Revenue came in at $60.8 billion, up 28% from a year earlier and ahead of the $60.17 billion consensus estimate.

Boston Scientific Corp (NYSE:BSX, XETRA:BSX) reported second quarter results that exceeded analyst expectations for revenue and adjusted earnings, while raising its full-year sales outlook.

The medical device company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.86, ahead of the $0.83 consensus estimate, while revenue reached $5.442 billion, compared with analyst expectations of $5.37 billion.

Ocean Power Technologies Inc (NYSE-A:OPTT) said Wednesday it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 compliance, a designation required for defense contracts involving Controlled Unclassified Information.

The certification allows the company to pursue US Department of War contracts and other federal programs with cybersecurity requirements tied to the protection of sensitive information, OPT said.

Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE:PG, XETRA:PRG) shares fell more than 3% on Wednesday after the consumer goods giant reported fourth-quarter revenue that missed analyst estimates, even as it topped profit expectations.

The maker of Tide detergent and Pampers diapers posted revenue of $21.2 billion for the quarter, up 2% from a year earlier but below analysts' estimate of $21.38 billion. Organic sales were flat year-over-year.
