Ethical Screening managing director Mike Head and sales and client manager Jonny White joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss the JURY Global High Dividend UCITS ETF (LSE:JURY) and explain how it combines an income-focused investment strategy with rigorous human rights screening.
White explained why the ETF goes beyond traditional ESG investing, using a transparent, evidence-based methodology developed over more than 30 years to exclude companies linked to the most serious human rights violations. Rather than relying on ESG ratings, the approach draws on internationally recognised frameworks, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Head also discussed research suggesting many sustainable investment funds continue to hold companies that some investors may not expect, arguing there is growing demand for a more robust approach to ethical investing.
The interview also explored the fund's commitment to directing 10% of its management fee to humanitarian initiatives through the Justice Company Foundation and outlines how the product range could evolve in the future.
