Shares in LPA Group (AIM:LPA) jumped 18% to 85.6p after the AIM-listed engineering company struck a distribution agreement with Boeing Distribution, the aerospace group's parts supply arm.
Boeing Distribution will use its global network to sell products from LPA's Red Box Aviation unit into the general aviation market, which covers civil flying outside scheduled airline services.
The deal is expected to trigger an initial stocking order of about £0.5 million in the second half of this calendar year.
LPA designs and manufactures electronic and electro-mechanical components and systems, and has historically focused on the rail sector.
It bought Red Box Aviation in 2024 as part of a deliberate push to diversify away from that concentration, and the Boeing arrangement gives the acquired business a distribution reach it could not build alone.
Chief executive Philo Daniel-Tran said the agreement offered an opportunity to scale up the aviation business and would strengthen the group's ability to serve the general aviation market.
He added that the tie-up validated demand for LPA's products in one of its key sectors.
The company described the deal as the start of a strategic relationship with Boeing Distribution and a milestone in its aviation strategy.
