Odyssey Gold Ltd (ASX:ODY) has confirmed a new shallow high-grade gold discovery at the Shackle target within its Tuckanarra Gold Project in Western Australia, while further drilling at Bollard has strengthened confidence in the continuity of mineralised shoots beneath the historical open pit.
First-pass reverse circulation drilling returned gold in all three holes completed at Shackle, including a standout intersection of 3 metres at 16.1 g/t gold from 55 metres. Other results included 4 metres at 5.3 g/t from 31 metres and 3 metres at 1.7 g/t from 44 metres.
Shackle lies on a parallel structure about 500 metres north-northwest of the Cable deposit and hosts historical workings across roughly 80 metres of strike.
The latest drilling tested beneath those workings and confirmed that a high-grade shoot continues below the shallow historical mining area. The mineralisation remains open along strike and down dip, with follow-up drilling planned to test its scale, continuity and plunge.
The result supports its strategy of systematically reassessing lightly drilled historical workings across Tuckanarra, where earlier mining was generally limited to shallow oxide mineralisation above the water table.
Bollard drilling strengthens resource confidence
At Bollard, new results confirmed continuity of plunging high-grade shoots beneath and adjacent to the historical pit.
Key intersections included:
- 15 metres at 3.9 g/t gold from 102 metres;
- 6 metres at 3.4 g/t from 77 metres;
- 9 metres at 2.9 g/t from 35 metres; and
- 8 metres at 2.4 g/t from 126 metres.
Drilling has now established continuity across about 140 metres of strike between recent and previously reported high-grade intersections. The shoot remains open along strike and at depth, while the lightly tested gap between Bollard and Cable has been identified as a priority target.
A revised mineral resource estimate for Bollard will incorporate the new results and support ongoing mining studies. Further drilling will target resource definition, the connection between Bollard, Cable and Highway, and the potential for deeper underground mineralisation.
Tuckanarra growth pipeline
The Tuckanarra Project currently hosts indicated and inferred mineral resources of 6.3 million tonnes at 2.2 g/t gold for 451,000 ounces.
Odyssey is advancing the project’s initial Stage 1 development while continuing resource growth drilling across a portfolio of more than 70 ranked exploration targets. Many are associated with historical workings that have received limited modern drilling, offering further scope to expand the project beyond its current development plan.
