Audioboom Group PLC (AIM:BOOM) reported record first-half revenue and profit after strong growth in advertising and podcast listening, as the company said it has already booked more revenue for 2026 than it generated in the whole of last year.
The podcast producer and advertising platform reported revenue of US$45.7 million for the six months to 30 June, up 30% from a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA rose 80% to US$3.2 million. Gross profit increased 33% to US$9.9 million.
Growth was driven by advertising marketplace Showcase, where revenue climbed 60% to US$18.6 million.
Average monthly podcast downloads and video views reached 183 million in the second quarter, up 84% from a year earlier.
The company said more than US$81 million of revenue has already been booked for 2026, exceeding its total revenue of US$80.4 million for 2025, with its busiest trading period still to come.
Chief executive Stuart Last said: "We continue to execute our growth strategy with discipline and consistency, delivering an exceptional first half of the year and demonstrating the operating leverage in our platform business as revenue increased by 30% while adjusted EBITDA grew by 80%."
He said Audioboom had rejected three takeover approaches after concluding they undervalued the business.
The company has instead reaffirmed its acquisition-led strategy, supported by an expected new revolving credit facility of up to US$10 million with HSBC and partnerships with Spotify and Apple to expand video advertising and subscription revenue.
