Freehill Mining (ASX:FHS) has delivered record quarterly gross sales of $1.36 million from its Chilean aggregates business, marking a 47% increase on the previous quarter and a third consecutive period of growth.
The June quarter result was capped by record monthly gross sales of $496,107, supported by plant improvements, stronger demand from the local cement industry and an expanding customer base.
Freehill’s June-quarter sales rose from $924,544 in the March quarter, which had itself increased 59% from $580,739 in the final quarter of 2025.
The company attributed the continued improvement to recent investment in plant and equipment at its Islon operation, which has broadened the product mix and improved logistics.
Further growth is expected from increased plant uptime, stronger preventative maintenance and the development of larger product stockpiles to reduce reliance on just-in-time deliveries to a major customer.
Freehill also sees scope to improve margins by securing feedstock closer to Islon, upgrading transport logistics and connecting the operation to mains power to reduce its reliance on diesel generation.
Managing director Paul Davies said the aggregates business was delivering steady operational improvement and providing confidence in the company’s ability to scale its Chilean operations.
Aggregates cash flow supports copper projects
The growing aggregates business is central to Freehill’s strategy of generating operating cash flow to fund the disciplined development of its regional copper portfolio.
Its immediate priority is to establish a small-scale mining operation at the nearby Blanco y Negro copper-gold deposit, which is close to several third-party processing plants.
Freehill is also advancing exploration at the Joshua multi-stage porphyry project, with further updates on both copper projects expected in the coming weeks.
