NEU HORIZON URANIUM LIMITED (ASX:NHU) has started high-resolution drone magnetic and radiometric surveys at its Arvidsjaur Project in northern Sweden, marking the first major exploration activity since the company listed on the ASX earlier this month.
Contractor Radai Oy will survey four priority prospects — Ravenberget, Suddesjaur, Laisbäcken and Arresåive — to identify structures and near-surface anomalies associated with uranium mineralisation and refine drill collar locations.
The program will collect about 7,500 line kilometres of magnetic data along lines spaced 50 metres apart, together with roughly 3,750 line kilometres of radiometric data at 100-metre spacing.
Neu Horizon is fully funded for two years of uranium exploration after raising A$12 million at A$0.20 per share through its recent initial public offering.
Surveys target historic uranium occurrences
The datasets will be used to finalise drilling positions over and along strike from uranium occurrences identified by the Geological Survey of Sweden during exploration in the 1970s and 1980s.
Modern uranium exploration has been limited across the region for more than four decades, leaving Neu Horizon with an opportunity to apply contemporary geophysical techniques to historically identified mineralised systems.
Chief executive Conrad Ocker said the company was moving quickly to advance its Swedish portfolio following its July 7 ASX listing.

Radai specialises in low-altitude drone surveys using magnetic, radiometric and electromagnetic technology, allowing tightly spaced data collection to support detailed geological and structural mapping.
Arvidsjaur hosts drill-ready targets
The Arvidsjaur Project comprises the Ravenberget, Suddesjaur, Arresåive and Laisbäcken prospects, where uranium occurrences are associated with major north to north-northeast-trending shear zones.
Neu Horizon has validated historic exploration through field investigations and sampling, identifying several drill-ready targets.
Exploration results include boulder samples returning more than 1% uranium oxide and a historic shallow drilling intersection of 17 metres at 1,000 parts per million uranium oxide from 60 metres at Ravenberget.
The company believes the mineralisation may have substantial depth potential. Comparable structurally controlled uranium deposits elsewhere have been tested or mined below 1,000 metres, while historic drilling across the Arvidsjaur-Arjeplog district generally reached depths of less than 200 metres.
Supportive nuclear outlook
Neu Horizon is advancing the project as Sweden increases its focus on nuclear energy and energy security.
Recent developments include the selection of Rolls-Royce SMR to deliver the country’s first new nuclear reactors in more than 40 years, government support for financing new nuclear generation and plans to expand nuclear capacity to meet growing electricity demand.
