Agenus (Agenus Inc (NASDAQ:AGEN)) shares jumped about 100% on Monday after the biotechnology company announced an oversubscribed private placement of up to $340 million to support development of its botensilimab and balstilimab (BOT+BAL) immunotherapy combination in microsatellite-stable (MSS) colon cancer.

The financing includes approximately $85 million in upfront gross proceeds, with an additional potential $255 million available through the full exercise of purchase warrants. The transaction was led by Commodore Capital, with participation from RA Capital Management, TCGX, Invus, and Ligand Pharmaceuticals.

Twin Vee PowerCats (NASDAQ: VEEE) shares surged more than 370% on Monday, trading around $23, after the company announced a definitive agreement for a transformative transaction involving a merger with a subsidiary of USFM Corporation and the privatization of its marine business.

Under the agreement, a subsidiary of USFM Corporation, a developer of strategic mineral interests in Greenland, will merge with and into Twin Vee. Existing Twin Vee shareholders will receive equity in the combined public company as part of the transaction.

First Hawaiian, Inc. (NASDAQ:FHB) has agreed to acquire TriCo Bancshares (NASDAQ:TCBK), a combination the bank said will create the leading Pacific banking franchise and accelerate its expansion on the US mainland.

First Hawaiian described the transaction as a strategic step that pairs two deposit-focused banking platforms, extending its reach beyond its core Hawaii market into TriCo's California footprint.

Greenfire Resources Ltd. (NYSE:GFR, TSX:GFR) plans to raise at least C$575 million through a rights offering to help fund its proposed acquisition of Connacher Oil and Gas Limited, with majority shareholder Waterous Energy Fund backstopping the entire amount.

The Calgary-based thermal oil producer said it expects to launch the rights offering in August 2026, subject to approvals and market conditions. The offering will be made to all holders of Greenfire common shares as of a record date still to be set, and the net proceeds will be used to repay a C$575 million bridge loan facility the company will incur in connection with the Connacher acquisition.

FuboTV (NYSE: FUBO) shares climbed about 11% after the company appointed former Disney+ president Alisa Bowen as its new chief executive officer, replacing co-founder David Gandler.

The company announced that Bowen assumed the role on July 10, bringing nearly three decades of experience across media, digital products and operations.

OpenAI (Unlisted:OPAI) CEO Sam Altman has criticized Elon Musk’s plans for space-based data centers, accusing the SpaceX Corp (NASDAQ:SPCX) and xAI leader of promoting an unproven technology to public market investors as the two technology executives continued their long-running dispute.

The comments came after Musk accused Altman of “taking scamming to a whole new level” in a post on X, escalating a series of public exchanges between the two billionaires that have followed their split over the direction of OpenAI.
