Greenvale Energy identifies 13 priority uranium targets at Thunderball

Greenvale Energy Ltd (ASX:GRV, OTC:GVLMF) has identified 13 priority uranium targets at its Thunderball Uranium Project in the Northern Territory, sharpening the company’s exploration focus ahead of an imminent field campaign.

The targets were generated from a high-resolution airborne magnetics and radiometrics survey over exploration licence EL34157, with four anomalies clustered along the prospective Hayes Creek Fault Zone and the strongest positioned near the historical Spectre Prospect.

Hayes Creek Fault emerges as key target area

Targets DR6 to DR9, located around the Hayes Creek Fault Zone, had been ranked as the highest-priority areas for follow-up work.

The fault is associated with uranium deposits and occurrences in the Pine Creek region, including Thunderball and Bella Rose, strengthening the company’s view that it may represent an important structural control on mineralisation.

The survey also identified a potential palaeochannel target, DR1, represented by a radiometric anomaly extending for about 4 kilometres and measuring up to 900 metres wide.

Additional anomalies in the eastern part of the licence coincide with prospective sandstone units and Cullen Supersuite granites, which are considered potential uranium source rocks.

Survey refines exploration program

The airborne program covered 4,313 line kilometres at 100-metre spacing and a nominal flight height of 50 metres, providing a much higher-resolution dataset than previously available regional surveys.

Greenvale said the results had refined broad exploration areas into 13 defined targets, allowing field teams to focus mapping and sampling on the most prospective locations.

The company will begin with DR6 to DR9 before moving to the palaeochannel target and the eastern anomalies. Field teams are expected to mobilise in mid-July.

Managing director Alex Cheeseman said the results had increased confidence in the project and reinforced the significance of the Hayes Creek Fault as a potential controlling structure for uranium mineralisation.

“The results significantly increase our confidence in the potential of the Thunderball Uranium Project and the importance of the Hayes Creek Fault as a key controlling structure for discovery of uranium deposits in the district. This validates our decision to acquire the Pine Creek Uranium Project and significantly enhances the value of our existing project tenure. We will have teams in the field following up these results within the week, as we head full steam into the 2026 field season.

“The emergence of potential sandstone-hosted uranium along with unconformity-style deposits also makes this ground particularly unique, and we are excited to advance our efforts to discover the Territory’s next uranium mine at a time when national policy and support for uranium exports is growing and the market fundamentals for uranium continue to strengthen.”

Spectre Prospect returns to focus

The survey has also renewed interest in the historical Spectre Prospect, which was first identified through soil sampling in 2009 but was not subsequently followed up.

Spectre lies on the western edge of target DR6, where Greenvale’s new magnetic data has outlined a north-northwest to south-southeast trending feature that may intersect the Hayes Creek Fault Zone.

DR6 will be the first target assessed during the upcoming field program.
