Giyani Metals Corp (TSX-V:EMM, OTC:CATPF, FRA:KT9) announced that it has filed the National Instrument 43-101 technical report supporting the definitive feasibility study (DFS) for its wholly owned K.Hill Battery-Grade Manganese Project in Botswana.
The filing follows the company's initial release of the DFS on May 28. Giyani said the technical report contains the same results previously disclosed, including a post-tax net present value (NPV) of $482 million using an 8% discount rate and a post-tax internal rate of return (IRR) of 20.3%.
All financial figures in the study are presented in constant January 1, 2026 US dollars, with the NPV discounted at 8% to the project's planned start date of April 1, 2027.
Giyani’s interim executive chair Nigel Robinson said that thfiling the DFS completes "an important phase of project evaluation" and positions the company to move into the next stages of development.
Robinson also noted that the study confirmed the project's economic potential and that management has identified opportunities to further optimize K.Hill that could improve project economics. He added that the company's focus remains on advancing the project toward development while continuing responsible development practices and engagement with local communities.
“The DFS confirmed the strong economic potential of the project," Robinson said. "These results reinforce our confidence in K.Hill's ability to support the growing global demand for battery-grade manganese,”
“The Giyani team has identified potential opportunities to further optimize the project which, if realized, may further enhance project economics.”
The K.Hill project is located in Botswana's Kanye Basin and is focused on the production of battery-grade manganese.
