Kirby Corp (NYSE:KEX) shares were up 6.2% on Wednesday after Bank of America named Kirby its top small and mid-cap Transport/Shipping pick.

The bank reiterated its Buy rating and raised its price objective to $182 from $169, citing upside in the company's Inland Marine and Power Generation segments.

Shopify Inc (TSX:SH., NYSE:SHOP) has been awarded a ‘Buy’ rating and a $150 price target in reinstated coverage, citing the company’s potential to benefit from the evolution of AI-driven “agentic commerce,” as well as ongoing international expansion and enterprise adoption.

The firm’s price target is based on a valuation of 22 times estimated calendar 2027 enterprise value to gross profit. Bank of America wrote that Shopify could become a key beneficiary of AI-native commerce as its payments and checkout infrastructure become increasingly important to transactions conducted through artificial intelligence-powered shopping experiences.

FuelCell Energy (NASDAQ:FCEL) shares declined on Wednesday after the company priced an upsized public offering of common stock, raising concerns among investors over potential dilution.

The stock fell 15% to $22.04 following the announcement that FuelCell priced an offering of 10.7 million newly issued shares at $21 per share. The offering price represented a discount to the company’s previous closing price of $25.96.

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B) has appointed Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) president and CEO Anko Van der Werff as its next president and CEO, with the aviation executive set to assume the role and join the airline's board by the end of January 2027.

Van der Werff will succeed Michael Rousseau, whose retirement takes effect on August 31, after 19 years with Air Canada (TSX:AC.B). Rousseau will remain available during the transition period, after which the airline's Executive Committee will report to the Board until Van der Werff takes office.
