Risers & Fallers including Tern, PeerTV, Inchcape, All Leisure, TalkTalk, Babcock...

Tern jumped as a non-executive director left the board while TalkTalk lost as BT posted good first half results.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price movements at 4pm.

RISERS

Tern (LON:TERN) up 18%. It announced that executive director Michael Clark has left the company with immediate effect.

PeerTV (LON:PTV) up 12.5%. Current ales orders are up 83% with repeat orders doubling to £400,000 from £200,000 the previous year.

Inchcape (LON:INCH) up 7%. The company recorded higher revenues in the first half of the year of £3.4bn, up 1.3% from £3.3bn in 2014. Constant currency revenue grew 7.8% but pre-tax profits fell.

FALLERS

All leisure (LON:ALLG) down 24.6%. Shares continue to drop after yesterday the company revealed revenue fell £3.2mln to £45.9mln in the first half. The company blamed geo-political events and an increase in competition, as well as foreign exchange headwinds, as the reason for the drop.

TalkTalk (LON:TALK) down 5.3%. Competitor BT put out good results today, a week after TalkTalk had noted that the broadband market was “softer” in its most recent quarter.

Babcock International (LON:BAB) down 4.9%. IT said it was on track to meet full and half year forecasts but warned that softer demand in the defence sector and revenues hit by the oil & gas sector downturn.

RISERS

John Swan & Sons (LON:SWJ) up 17.8%. It has received an offer from private firm H&H to take it over for £13.50 per share. It values the livestock agent and auctioneer at £8.2mln.

Laird (LON:LRD) up 14.2%. First half underlying pre-tax profit climbed 36% to £26.9mln with revenue up 21%. The company also reiterated its expectations for the full year.

Lansdowne Oil & Gas (LON:LOGP) up 12.1%. The company confirmed yesterday that drilling operations have now begun on the Midleton gas exploration well in the Celtic Sea.

FALLERS

Vitesse Media (LON:VIS) down 30%. The company has terminated the crowdfunding services agreement it made in January 2014 which saw it put £250,000 into the development of a crowdfunding platform.

Image Scan Holdings (LON:IGE) down 25%. Shares gav e back some of yesterday’s gains, when the company climbed almost 50% after it was given a grant from Innovate UK under the Smart award scheme and signed a deal with IBEX.

Countrywide (LON:CWD) down 6.2%. The estate agency group saw pre-tax profit fall heavily in the first half of the year to £28.9mln from £37.1mln, a drop of 22%.

RISERS

HellermanTyton Group (LON:HTY) up 42.4%. Delphi Automotive said it has reached a deal with the group to take it over for around £1bn. It has offered 480p per share, a 44% premium on yesterday’s close.

Chime Communications (LON:CHW) up 26.4%. The company confirmed it was in talks with Providence Equity Partners and WPP for a 365p per share takeover of the business. Investec said the price is “reasonable.”

Accesso (LON:ACSO) up 14.7%. The theme Park ticket specialist was named as Legoland and Thorpe Park owner Merlin Entertainment’s exclusive global ticketing solution provider. It also predicted improve earnings for the next two and half years.

FALLERS

All Leisure (LON:ALLG) down 36%. Revenue fell £3.2mln to £45.9mln in the first half. The company blamed geo-political events and an increase in competition, as well as foreign exchange headwinds, as the reason for the drop.

Kromek (LON:KMK) down 23.8%. Revenues rose 36% to £8.1mln and losses narrowed in the first half but shares lowered as it announced a share placing to raise £11mln. It will issue 36mln shares at 25p a pop, a significant discount to yesterday’s 34.5p closing price.

Xchanging (LON:XCH) down 23.1%. Revenue slipped although profits were slightly higher in the first half of 2015. Net cash dropped from £107.5mln to £-31.3mln. Also, chief executive Ken Lever announced he will leave at the end of the year.
