Instem (LON:INS) told investors it expected trading for the year to December 31 to be in line with market expectations.
The group supplies IT applications to companies working on the early phases of developing drugs and chemicals.
Today, it provided a trading update for the six months to end June.
"In line with management expectations, the encouraging market dynamics for the pre-clinical and clinical industries which helped to generate a record order book as we entered 2015, began to be converted into positive financial results in the first six months of the financial year and this performance has continued post the period end," it said.
Phil Reason, chief executive, added: " We continue to see positive trends across our target markets and management remains confident it can continue to deliver further growth over the remainder of the year."
Interim results will be posted on September 29.
