Bradda Head Lithium Ltd BHL View profile

Bradda Head chairman on how Whistlejacket lithium project could transform company - ICYMI

Bradda Head Lithium Ltd (AIM:BHL) believes its Whistlejacket project in Arizona could be a major value driver as the company moves towards drilling and a maiden resource estimate.

Executive chairman Ian Stalker told Proactive that recent analyst coverage points to a significant disconnect between the company's market valuation and the potential of its lithium assets.

He also outlined the pathway from explorer to producer, with an internal target of bringing Whistlejacket into production by the end of 2027.

Proactive: Greenwood Capital and Shard Capital have both published notes on your Whistlejacket lithium project in Arizona. Remind us why Whistlejacket is such a game changer for Bradda Head?

Ian Stalker: It is significant that the market is beginning to recognise the value Whistlejacket brings to Bradda Head through the joint venture with Rio Tinto. Rio Tinto is one of the world's leading mining companies and conducted detailed work on the project. Independent analysts have reviewed the available data and concluded there is significant revaluation potential. Shard Capital also recognised the value of the Basin lithium clay project, highlighting that the combined portfolio is worth considerably more than the company's current market valuation.

I believe this represents an opportunity for investors as the projects continue to advance.

Proactive: Analysts suggest the market is valuing Bradda Head well below comparable lithium companies. What do you think investors are missing?

Ian Stalker: Until the Rio Tinto transaction was completed, there was little value in repeatedly promoting the same investment story. As a result, the company remained relatively quiet, leading to limited market awareness. At the same time, the lithium market only began recovering towards the end of last year. Demand is strengthening across batteries, AI-related power requirements, robotics and other applications.

Bradda Head is not solely focused on pegmatites but also owns the Basin clay project, which already has a compliant resource.

Pegmatites remain the short-term production focus while the broader portfolio provides additional long-term value.

Proactive: With permits secured, drilling about to begin and a maiden resource estimate approaching, is this the point where Bradda Head moves from explorer to resource company?

Ian Stalker: Drilling is expected to begin before the end of July, with infrastructure preparation already underway. The objective is to deliver a maiden compliant resource for the pegmatites during early 2027. Historical metallurgical work suggests the project can produce a marketable 6% Li₂O gravity concentrate. The company's internal target is to commence operations by the end of 2027.

Bradda Head is transitioning from an exploration company into a resource company and ultimately into an operating company capable of generating cash flow.

Proactive: Ian, thank you for joining us today.
