Intrusion advances on acquisition of cybersecurity firm VigilAigent

Intrusion, Inc. (NASDAQ:INTX) shares jumped 41% on Tuesday following the company’s announcement that it has completed the acquisition of cybersecurity managed security service provider VigilAigent from Tego Cyber, a deal expected to immediately expand revenue and commercial reach.

The Plano, Texas-based cyberattack prevention firm said the acquisition adds approximately $3.5 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) from multi-year customer contracts.

It also brings an established reseller network of more than 80 partners and an installed base of roughly 1,000 customers, which the company said will broaden its go-to-market footprint from day one.

Intrusion said VigilAigent’s platform, including its proprietary Agentic AI engine “The Oracle,” will be integrated with Intrusion’s TraceCop database.

The company said the combined system will merge real-time analysis of around 1 billion daily security events with historical intelligence covering more than 8.5 billion IP addresses, aimed at improving threat detection and expanding visibility into potential cyberattacks.

The company described the integration as a way to enhance product capabilities while creating new cross-selling opportunities across both firms’ customer and partner networks.

As part of the transaction, VigilAigent CEO Bobby Mikkelsen and chief revenue officer Mark Porter have joined Intrusion's senior management team.

“Intrusion is a natural home for what we have built at VigilAigent,” Porter said in a statement. “Bringing our Agentic AI engine, The Oracle, together with Intrusion’s TraceCop creates a platform for customers that will deliver more actionable protection and help them navigate the growing AI-driven threat environment.”

Intrusion CEO Tony Scott said the deal strengthens the company’s growth strategy at a time when AI is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape and lowering the barrier for more sophisticated attacks.

“More than ever, customers need cybersecurity solutions that can get ahead of these threats,” Scott said. “The combination of VigilAigent’s Agentic AI capabilities and our TraceCop intelligence gives us exactly that.”
