BOA Resources moves to consolidate Neds Creek Copper Project with Thaduna and Green Dragon acquisition
BOA recently moved to take full control of the Neds Creek Copper Project in Western Australia’s Murchison region through the acquisition of Core Value Australia NL (CVA).
CVA is set to acquire the Thaduna and Green Dragon copper deposits from Sandfire Resources, giving BOA exposure to two advanced copper assets on granted mining leases.
The transaction will result in BOA owning 100% of CVA and, through that acquisition, the Thaduna and Green Dragon deposits, while also consolidating BOA’s ownership of the broader Neds Creek copper assets.
Once the deal is finalised, Sandfire will become a substantial shareholder in BOA.
BOA currently holds a 49% interest in Stanifer Pty Ltd, the owner of the Neds Creek tenements, and has an option to acquire the remaining 51%.
Rather than exercising that option separately, BOA plans to acquire the remaining interest in Stanifer indirectly through the purchase of CVA.
The deal will also bring the Thaduna and Green Dragon deposits into BOA’s portfolio. Together, the deposits host a JORC 2012-compliant mineral resource estimate of 5.3 million tonnes at 2.3% copper for 121,000 tonnes of contained copper.
