American Resources Corp (NASDAQ:AREC) announced that it is expected to be added to the Russell 3000 Index and the Russell Microcap Index as part of FTSE Russell's annual 2026 index reconstitution.
The company appears on FTSE Russell's preliminary additions lists under the ticker symbol ‘AREC’ for both indexes.
The newly reconstituted Russell indexes are scheduled to take effect after the close of US trading on Friday, June 26.
American Resources director Mark LaVerghetta said that inclusion in the indexes reflects the company's ongoing development and could increase its visibility among institutional investors.
"We believe this milestone reflects the continued evolution of American Resources and enhances the Company's visibility within the institutional investment community," LaVerghetta stated.
He added that the company remains focused on its strategy involving critical mineral feedstock sourcing, processing, trading and strategic investments, while supporting domestic and allied supply chains serving advanced manufacturing, defense and energy markets.
Membership in the Russell indexes can increase exposure to investment managers and institutional investors that track or benchmark against the indexes through funds and related investment products.
The Russell 3000 Index is intended to represent approximately 98% of the investable U.S. equity market, while the Russell Microcap Index is designed to track the microcap segment of the U.S. equity market.
