Golden Dragon Mining (ASX:GDR) has intersected further high-grade gold close to surface in second-phase reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Behring Bore prospect, strengthening confidence in a larger gold system within the Cue Gold Project in Western Australia’s Murchison Goldfields.
The program returned a standout northeast-trending quartz lode intersection of 4 metres at 5.3 g/t gold from 48 metres in hole 26BB041, within a broader zone of 20 metres at 1.57 g/t gold from 40 metres.
Other notable results included 12 metres at 1.07 g/t gold from 80 metres, including 4 metres at 2.13 g/t gold in hole 26BB044, and 8 metres at 2.92 g/t gold from 20 metres, including 4 metres at 5.5 g/t gold in hole 26BB024.

High-grade gold within broader system
Gold mineralisation at Behring Bore was hosted in the upper portion of an altered, pyritic dolerite, with mineralisation remaining open to the north, south and east.
The company said the latest drilling confirmed high-grade gold associated with northeast-trending quartz veining within a broader mineralised system.
Managing director Simon Buswell-Smith said Behring Bore was “rapidly emerging as a standout gold prospect”, with the latest results further confirming the scale of the system.
“The consistent delivery of high-grade gold within a broader mineralised envelope, hosted in altered pyritic dolerite, significantly strengthens our confidence in the geological model,” he said.
Buswell-Smith said mineralisation had now been confirmed in fresh rock and remained open to the east and south, where no drilling had yet been undertaken.

Behring Bore and Coodardy targets
The 26-hole RC program covered 2,102 metres and was designed to test moderately east-dipping gold lode-style targets within the altered dolerite, as well as newly identified northeast-trending high-grade quartz veins.
Golden Dragon said the altered, pyritic dolerite had been consistently intersected along the eastern portion of all drill lines and represented a priority target for follow-up exploration.
Behring Bore is about 400 metres from Coodardy, where recent drilling returned 12 metres at 6.5 g/t gold from 44 metres, including 4 metres at 17.6 g/t gold.
Mineralisation at Coodardy has been defined over about 500 metres of strike and remains open to the north and south, supporting the potential for a broader gold system across both prospects.
Next drilling planned
Golden Dragon is finalising drill design at Behring Bore and has secured a rig for drilling in early July.
The upcoming program will target both Behring Bore and Coodardy, with a focus on better defining mineralisation geometry and continuity, particularly along the eastern corridor extension.
About Golden Dragon Mining (ASX:GDR)
Golden Dragon Mining is exploring the Cue Gold Project in the Murchison region of Western Australia.
The project comprises granted exploration licences, mining leases and applications which, if granted, would give the company control of about 619 square kilometres of prospective ground.
The project hosts more than 50 kilometres of mineralised shear zones, providing multiple targets for systematic exploration and potential resource growth.
