Small Cap Watch: Resources and health stocks update market

The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index (ASX: XSO) closed at 3,554.30 yesterday, up 1.20 points or 0.034%.

Over the past five days, the index has gained 23.20 points, or 0.66%, reflecting modest upward momentum across the small-cap sector. It's been a steady morning for announcements and you can read about the following and more throughout the day.

Critical Resources confirms high-grade tungsten at Granite Creek

Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR, FRA:9S70) has reported final tungsten assay results from first-pass mapping and sampling at the Granite Creek Tungsten target within the Croesus Project near Barrytown on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island.

The program confirmed high-grade scheelite mineralisation associated with quartz veining and greisen alteration within and adjacent to the Barrytown Granite.

The standout result came from channel sample A1419, which returned 0.41 metres at 16.63% WO₃ from an in-situ quartz-scheelite vein.

Modern sampling identified multiple mineralised bedrock and float occurrences across at least 600 metres of the Granite Creek target area, supporting the interpretation of a broader quartz-vein and greisen-hosted tungsten system rather than an isolated occurrence.

Nova Minerals completes US redomicile and starts 2026 field season

Nova Minerals Ltd (ASX:NVA, NASDAQ:NVA, FRA:QM3) has completed its redomicile to the United States and provided an update on its 2026 field season, with exploration and development activities now underway.

The company’s common stock and listed warrants are now trading on the NYSE American under the ticker symbols NVA and NVAWS respectively, while CHESS Depositary Interests continue trading on the ASX under the ticker NVA.

Drilling at the Stibium antimony-gold prospect began in early June from the existing ridge-top drill pad, targeting stibnite-bearing veins identified at surface.

Gold drilling also commenced on 17 June from a new pad at the northern end of the main RPM ridge, targeting gold geochemical anomalies.

Nova said the 2026 RPM program would continue testing new zones along the 2-mile-long ridge while advancing resource definition at the RPM North and RPM Valley deposits.

Toubani advances Kobada drilling ahead of resource update

Toubani Resources Ltd (ASX:TRE) has reported further drill results from the current reverse circulation drilling program at its Kobada Gold Project in southern Mali.

Kobada hosts 2.2 million ounces in mineral resources across a 4.5-kilometre strike length, with mineralisation predominantly oxide and open-pittable.

Recent results have been received from infill drilling in the northern area of the Kobada mineral resource estimate, as well as follow-up drilling at Kobada South.

The work is targeting areas where further data is required to improve definition of mineralised structures and provide additional assay information ahead of a forthcoming mineral resource estimate update, scheduled to begin in the September quarter.

Drilling is continuing at Kobada, with 2 rigs currently operating at Foroko and further results expected in the coming weeks.
