Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTCQB:RLMLF) has been admitted as a member of the US Defense Industrial Base Consortium (DIBC), giving the company access to a broad range of US defense supply chain initiatives and potential funding programs targeting the critical minerals sector.
Membership supports RML's engagement with the US Department of Defense and related critical minerals programs as it advances a US-focused antimony and tungsten development strategy aligned with national security priorities.
Resolution has already submitted a funding application linked to its tungsten development strategy and is assessing further opportunities to support development of its antimony supply chain initiatives.
Access to US defense supply chain network
The DIBC is a US Department of Defense-supported consortium established to strengthen, expand and modernise the US defense industrial base through collaboration between government agencies, industry, academia and emerging suppliers.
Operating under an Other Transaction Authority framework and managed by Advanced Technology International, the consortium provides a mechanism to accelerate research, development, prototyping and production activities that support national security objectives.
Resolution said DIBC membership would provide opportunities to collaborate with government agencies, industry participants, research institutions and other organisations involved in strengthening domestic critical mineral supply chains.
The consortium currently includes about 1,500 member organisations across strategic sectors and supports activities including supply chain resilience, Defense Production Act-related investments, commercialisation of new technologies, workforce development and broader industrial collaboration.
Focus on antimony and tungsten
Resolution said the membership was strategically relevant to its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, which is being advanced for its antimony and tungsten potential.
Both minerals are recognised by the US Government as critical due to their use in defense, aerospace, energy and advanced manufacturing applications.
Horse Heaven is positioned to contribute to the development of domestic sources of these materials as the US seeks to build secure and scalable supply chains for minerals considered important to national security.
CEO says membership is key milestone
Resolution CEO – US Operations Craig Lindsay said acceptance into the consortium represented an important milestone in the company’s strategy to help establish secure domestic supplies of antimony and tungsten in the US.
“Through DIBC membership, we gain access to a network of government agencies, industry participants, and potential funding opportunities that can support the advancement of our projects,” Lindsay said.
“We believe the consortium provides an effective platform to demonstrate the strategic importance of our assets and to engage with stakeholders focused on strengthening US critical mineral supply chains.”
Lindsay said Resolution was committed to working with government agencies, regulators, industry partners and local communities to advance responsible exploration and development activities that could contribute to national security and economic resilience.
What’s ahead
Drilling at the Horse Heaven Project is progressing as planned, with the program designed to improve understanding of the project’s antimony and tungsten potential and support future development planning.
Alongside exploration, the company intends to expand engagement with government agencies, members of Congress, industry stakeholders and defense-related organisations to highlight the strategic importance of establishing domestic critical mineral supplies in the US.
Resolution will also continue to assess funding opportunities, strategic partnerships and government-supported initiatives that could help accelerate development of its critical minerals portfolio.
