Blue Star Capital shares sink 15% after cash call

Blue Star Capital PLC (AIM:BLU), the AIM-listed blockchain and payments investing company, has raised £250,000 through a share subscription priced at 7.0p per share, as its stock fell 15% to 7.2p.

The company issued 3.57 million new ordinary shares to the subscriber at the issue price, with admission to AIM expected around 24 June 2026.

Blue Star also issued 1.79 million warrants over ordinary shares with an exercise price of 12.0p and an 18-month exercise period.

The subscription price sits below the current trading level, suggesting investors are pricing in near-term weakness or dilution concerns.

Blue Star appointed Marex Financial as its corporate adviser, tasking the firm with providing institutional marketing, trading support and access to US capital markets.

Marex recently acquired Winterflood Securities, one of the UK's leading market makers, and said the acquisition had enhanced its equities platform and capabilities across trading, distribution and market making.

Following admission of the new shares, Blue Star's enlarged issued share capital will comprise 51.12 million ordinary shares, with no shares held in treasury.
