Aruma Resources Ltd managing director Grant Ferguson talked with Proactive about the company’s Phase 1 diamond drilling results at the Tillex Copper-Silver Project in the Timmins mining district of Ontario, Canada.
Ferguson said the latest work had delivered “wide, high-grade copper–silver intersections from shallow depths” and strengthened the company’s confidence that Tillex could host a significant mineralised system. He highlighted standout intersections of up to 89 metres at 2.04% copper with around 12.5 grams per tonne silver from 38 metres depth, describing the results as a meaningful step forward in Aruma’s understanding of the project.
Tillex sits around 50 kilometres from the Kidd Creek deposit, one of the world’s deepest volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. Ferguson said the project remained open along strike and at depth, with copper sulphide mineralisation starting from around 30 metres below surface and tested so far only to about 135 metres.
“The consistency of mineralisation, together with strong geological continuity and the fact that the system remains open along strike and at depth, provides strong confidence in the scale and growth potential of the project,” Ferguson said.
