Kingfisher Mining advances Broken Hill copper-gold push as assay results near

The company has completed the latest phase of reverse-circulation (RC) drilling at the Copper Blow Copper-Gold Project in New South Wales.

Kingfisher Mining Ltd (ASX:KFM) is moving closer to defining the scale of its Broken Hill copper-gold and base metals portfolio, with drilling now complete at Copper Blow and Stephens Trig and assays expected shortly.

The company has completed the latest phase of reverse-circulation (RC) drilling at the Copper Blow Copper-Gold Project in New South Wales, drilling 10 holes totalling 1,576 metres.

This brings Kingfisher’s total drilling at Copper Blow since acquiring the project in November to 16 holes for 2,506 metres.

Samples are now with the laboratory for separate copper and gold analysis, with initial assay results expected in the coming weeks after minor delays in turnaround times.

Copper Blow drilling targets extensions

The latest Copper Blow program targeted lode extensions and included infill drilling designed to improve geological confidence across the project’s 600-metre mineralised strike footprint.

The work follows Kingfisher’s maiden post-acquisition drill program at Copper Blow in February 2026, which delivered high-grade copper-gold intercepts in the first drilling at the project in 7 years.

Results from that earlier program included:

  • 13 metres at 1.2% copper and 0.26 g/t gold from 23 metres, including 4 metres at 3.43% copper and 0.74 g/t gold;
  • 7 metres at 2.11% copper and 0.32 g/t gold from 116 metres, including 4 metres at 3.32% copper and 0.53 g/t gold; and
  • 14 metres at 1.13% copper and 0.25 g/t gold from 9 metres, including 4 metres at 2.27% copper and 0.54 g/t gold.

Kingfisher said the continued drilling success confirmed the scale of the mineralised system and highlighted the potential for a low-cost operation that could use existing processing infrastructure in Broken Hill under its joint venture and processing cooperation agreement with Broken Hill Mines.

Copper Blow is held 75% by Kingfisher and 25% by Broken Hill Mines.

Stephens Trig program completed

Kingfisher has also completed drilling at the Stephens Trig silver-lead-zinc prospect, also held 75% by the company and 25% by Broken Hill Mines.

The program comprised 5 holes for 584 metres and was designed to test and validate historical drilling results at a target the company considers underexplored by modern standards.

Samples from Stephens Trig are also awaiting analysis, with results expected early next month.

The company said the program was an important step in improving its understanding of mineralisation across its broader Broken Hill tenure.

Allendale next in drilling pipeline

Following completion of drilling at Copper Blow and Stephens Trig, Kingfisher is mobilising an RC rig for the next phase of exploration at the Allendale Project.

The program will target high-grade lead, zinc and silver mineralisation identified in historical drilling.

Previous results from Allendale include 10 metres at 16.1% lead-zinc and 29 g/t silver from 15 metres, 2 metres at 11.6% lead-zinc and 39.2 g/t silver from 47 metres, 2 metres at 13.8% lead-zinc and 51.1 g/t silver from 117 metres, and 2 metres at 6.5% copper and 17.6 g/t silver from 71 metres.

Kingfisher describes Allendale as one of the most advanced and high-priority silver-lead-zinc targets in its Broken Hill portfolio.

Wellington survey to refine targets

Away from Broken Hill, Kingfisher has engaged a specialist contractor to conduct a geophysical survey at the Wellington Project in the Macquarie Arc of New South Wales.

The survey is designed to refine priority targets and identify magnetic signatures associated with potential porphyry copper-gold systems.

Data acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of July 2026.

The company said the Wellington tenure had recently been renewed for a further 6 years. The project is 15 kilometres from the Boda/Kaiser porphyry copper-gold deposits and sits within favourable volcanic stratigraphy.

Next Steps

Kingfisher’s immediate news flow is expected to centre on assay results from Copper Blow and Stephens Trig.

The company will then incorporate the new results into geological modelling and interpretation work to evaluate mineralisation footprints and plan possible extensions.

Kingfisher is also seeking approvals for a larger follow-up RC and diamond drilling program at Copper Blow, scheduled to begin in the September quarter of 2026.

The company aims to advance Copper Blow toward a maiden mineral resource estimate while progressing other priority targets across the broader Broken Hill project portfolio.

About Kingfisher Mining

Kingfisher Mining is focused on building value through the acquisition, exploration and development of resource projects across Australia.

The company’s current focus is its New South Wales portfolio, which covers around 700 square kilometres across 3 established mining districts and includes early-stage and advanced copper-gold and silver-lead-zinc projects.

Key assets include the Copper Blow Iron Oxide Copper-Gold Project near Broken Hill, where Kingfisher is undertaking systematic drilling and geological modelling, as well as a pipeline of base metals targets including Stephens Trig and Allendale.

Kingfisher is also advancing the Wellington Copper-Gold Project in the Macquarie Arc, a highly prospective porphyry copper-gold province in New South Wales, where geophysical work is being used to refine future drill targets.
