Blockmate Ventures Inc (TSX-V:MATE, OTCQB:MATEF, FRA:8MH) has provided an update on its Wyoming-based AI infrastructure opportunity, outlining ongoing discussions with potential partners and steps being taken to advance the site's development prospects.
The venture builder, which focuses on artificial intelligence, Bitcoin and digital infrastructure, said it remains engaged with multiple interested parties regarding the potential development of a controlled site in Wyoming into an AI-focused data centre. The property is located in an industrial area approximately 0.5 miles from a power substation.
As part of efforts to enhance the site's readiness for potential development, Blockmate has engaged an engineering and surveying firm to conduct technical assessments and support planning activities. The work includes engagement with local authorities and stakeholders, as well as initiatives aimed at expanding usable space, optimizing the site's configuration and supporting future development plans. The company noted that part of the property is already zoned for industrial use.
Blockmate also highlighted the potential economic benefits that a data centre project could bring to the region, including employment opportunities during construction and operations. Such outcomes would depend on securing a development partner and obtaining the necessary approvals and meeting applicable requirements, the company noted.
The company said it recently attended a major data centre industry conference, where it met with more than a dozen potential partners and investors. Discussions with those parties are ongoing, and Blockmate said it plans to provide further updates as developments occur.
In addition, Blockmate reported that the Wyoming site can be served by two independent fibre carriers, providing the network redundancy typically required for AI and high-performance computing data centre operations. The company said it continues to evaluate connectivity routing, delivery options and commercial terms as part of its planning process.
"We continue to progress the Wyoming opportunity through practical site advancement work and active engagement with potential partners and investors,” Blockmate Ventures chairman Domenic Carosa said in a statement.
“We've engaged engineering and surveying support, continued discussions with a number of parties, and advanced key planning inputs such as fibre connectivity. We look forward to updating shareholders as these efforts develop."
Further, Blockmate announced the launch of its inaugural non-deal investor roadshow. Company representatives are meeting investors in Vancouver this week, with additional meetings planned in Toronto later in July. The initiative is intended to increase awareness of the company's strategy across AI, Bitcoin and digital infrastructure markets.
